Frequently asked questions
Will it humidify my entire room?
No, and we prefer to make that clear from the start. It is designed for areas of less than 10 square metres: it works well beside a desk or bed, where you are sitting or lying nearby. A living room or open space requires a larger floor standing device.
Can I add essential oils?
We do not recommend it. This is a humidifier, not a diffuser: oil residue can damage the ultrasonic plate over time. To add fragrance, use a diffuser designed for oils.
Does it switch off automatically?
No. It uses mechanical controls with manual on and off operation, without a timer. If you are looking for a device that switches off according to a schedule, this is not the one.
Is it quiet enough to sleep beside?
It operates below 36 dB, comparable to a quiet library. Most people can sleep beside it without difficulty, although very sensitive sleepers may still notice it in a completely silent room.
What water should I use?
Clean tap water is suitable. In hard water areas, a fine white dust may settle on nearby surfaces: filtered or demineralised water helps prevent this.
Do I need a particular adapter?
No. It works with any powered USB port: a laptop, phone charger or power bank.
Is it an air purifier?
No. It adds moisture to the air. It contains no filter and does not remove dust, allergens or pollutants.
