A ceiling fan cools the room. It does not cool you, sitting at your desk at 3 pm, when everyone around you feels comfortable and you do not. This one plugs into the USB port you already have and directs the airflow exactly where you are sitting.

Frequently asked questions
Does it have a battery?
No. It runs from a USB power source and stops once unplugged. If you are looking for a cordless fan you can take anywhere, you will need a rechargeable model. This one is designed to stay at your workstation.
Will it cool my room?
No. At 4 W, this is a personal fan designed to blow air towards you at close range, at a desk or bedside. Cooling an entire room requires a pedestal or tower fan.
What can I plug it into?
Any powered USB port: a laptop, a monitor's USB port, a power bank, phone charger or USB mains adapter.
Is it noisy?
The brushless motor is quieter than the brushed motors used in most fans of this size. At low speed, most people can work without noticing it. At high speed, you will hear it, as you would with any small fan.
What is the hanging cord for?
It lets you hang the fan instead of placing it on a surface: useful on a bunk bed frame, shelf edge, tent, or anywhere the desk is already full.
Can I adjust the direction?
You can point it in the direction you want. It does not oscillate: it blows in a single direction rather than sweeping across the room.
