What does the cooling plate actually do?
It's a semiconductor plate on the body of the fan that chills when the unit is running. Pressed against your neck, wrist or temples it cools by direct contact, which feels different from airflow and works faster on a hot day.
How long does the battery last?
2 to 6 hours from the 4000mAh battery, depending on the speed you use and whether the cooling plate is running. The display shows the exact percentage remaining.
What does stepless speed control mean?
Rather than three or five fixed settings, you adjust the speed continuously across the full range and the display shows where you've set it. It means the lowest setting can be genuinely low.
Is it quiet?
The brushless motor is quieter than the brushed motors used in most handheld fans, and the stepless control lets you run it at a genuinely low speed. At full power it's audible, as with any fan.
Will it cool a room?
No. It's a personal fan, held close to you. A room needs a full-size fan.
Does it fit in a bag?
Yes. It folds through 180° and measures 176mm at its longest, so it fits a handbag, a rucksack or a large pocket.
