The usual complaint about air purifiers is the noise, because pushing air through a dense filter takes a fan. In sleep mode this runs at 20 decibels, which is quieter than a whisper and quieter than anything else we sell. It filters through the night without being the reason you wake up.

- HEPA filter with activated carbon. The HEPA element captures particles like pollen, dander, hair and smoke. The activated carbon layer handles odours, which is a separate job.

- Aromatherapy tablets included. Add scent to the filtered air if you want it, or leave them out and run it purely as a purifier.

Frequently asked questions
What size space does it suit?
This is a purifier for small rooms and personal spaces: a bedroom, a home office, a desk or a bedside table. Position it within a couple of metres of where you sit or sleep. A large living room or open-plan space needs a floor-standing unit.
Is 20dB really that quiet?
It's below the level of a whisper and quieter than any other product we sell. That figure applies to sleep mode; higher fan speeds move more air and are correspondingly more audible.
Will it help with pet smells and smoke?
The activated carbon layer is what addresses odours, including pet and cooking smells and smoke. The HEPA layer handles the particles: dander, hair, pollen and smoke particulates.
What are the aromatherapy tablets for?
They add scent to the air the purifier is already moving. Entirely optional, and the purifier works exactly the same without them.
How often does the filter need replacing?
Filters in this category are typically replaced every few months depending on use and how dusty the environment is. A spare activated carbon layer is included in the box.
Can I wash the filter?
No. HEPA filters can't be washed, as water damages the fibre structure and the filter stops working. Replace rather than clean.
Does it produce ozone?
This is a filter-based purifier rather than an ioniser, so it works by physically trapping particles in the filter.
