No, and that is exactly the point. The effect comes from light shining through the mist, which flickers and moves like a flame. Nothing burns and nothing heats up: you can leave it running without risk, including around children or pets.
Can I use it just as a lamp?
Yes. The flame effect works with or without oil in the water: you can run it purely for the light.
Does it switch off automatically?
Yes, in two ways. The timer switches it off after 2 to 8 hours depending on your setting, and the low-water protection cuts the power if the reservoir runs dry.
Is it quiet enough for a bedroom?
It operates below 36 dB, comparable to a quiet library. Most people can sleep beside it without difficulty.
What water should I use?
Clean tap water is suitable. In hard water areas, filtered or demineralised water reduces white dust deposits on nearby surfaces.
What does the remote control operate?
It lets you switch the device on and off, set the timer and adjust the light without getting up. The buttons on the device perform the same functions.
Is it an air purifier?
No. It adds fragrance and moisture to the air. It contains no filter and does not remove dust, allergens or pollutants.
