Most flame diffusers are narrow columns with a single flame at the top. This one is 21cm wide and only 8cm deep, so the flame spreads horizontally the way a fire in a grate does. It sits on a shelf, a mantelpiece or a low table and reads as a small fireplace rather than a gadget.

Is there a real flame?
No, and that's the appeal. The effect comes from light shining through the mist, which flickers and spreads like a fire in a grate. Nothing burns, nothing gets hot, and it's safe around children and pets.
How is this different from a normal flame diffuser?
Shape. Most are tall narrow columns with a single flame at the top. This one is 21cm wide and 8cm deep, so the flame spreads sideways and looks like a fireplace rather than a candle.
How long does one tank last?
The 200ml tank produces 20 to 30ml of mist per hour, so roughly seven to ten hours. It shuts down automatically when the tank empties.
Does it turn itself off?
It cuts power automatically when the water runs out. There's no scheduled timer, so if you want it to stop after a set number of hours, one of our other flame diffusers has a 2 to 8 hour timer.
Can I use it just as a light?
Yes. All seven colours work with plain water, so you can run it purely for the fireplace effect.
What kind of oils can I use?
Water-soluble essential oils or oils made for ultrasonic diffusers, a few drops at a time. Thick or greasy oils leave residue on the ultrasonic plate.
What water should I use?
Clean tap water. In hard water areas, filtered or distilled water reduces the white mineral dust that can settle on nearby surfaces.
Is this an air purifier?
No. It adds scent and moisture to the air. It has no filter and does not remove dust, allergens or pollutants.
