How to use them

  1. Add a few drops to a diffuser to fragrance a room.
  2. For use on the skin, always dilute in a carrier oil, such as sweet almond or jojoba, and never apply pure essential oil directly to the skin.
  3. Perform a patch test on a small area before using any new oil or blend.

Can I apply them directly to my skin?
No: essential oils are highly concentrated and should always be diluted in a carrier oil, such as sweet almond or jojoba, before coming into contact with the skin. Applying them undiluted may cause irritation. Perform a patch test on a small area first.
Can I ingest them?
We do not recommend ingesting essential oils without advice from a qualified healthcare professional. These oils are sold for aromatic and fragrance use, not for ingestion.
Are they safe to diffuse around pets?
Not necessarily: several essential oils, including tea tree, can be harmful to cats and dogs. If you have pets at home, check which oils are suitable, or ask your vet, before diffusing them.
Can I mix the scents together?
Yes: lavender with tea tree, or peppermint with sweet orange, are two popular combinations, but part of the appeal of a six oil set is experimenting with your own blends.
Do I need a diffuser to use them?
A diffuser is the simplest way to use them to fragrance a room, although they can also be mixed with a carrier oil for other uses. If you do not already have one, we also offer diffusers.
