Frequently asked questions
Does it shut off automatically when the water runs out?
No, and it's worth knowing before you buy. There's no low water protection on this model, so use the timer rather than leaving it unattended for long stretches. Several of our other diffusers do have automatic shut-off.
How long does it actually run?
Six hours on continuous mist, twelve on intermittent. The 400ml tank supports that without a refill, so a single fill and charge covers a full night on the intermittent setting.
Does it need to stay plugged in?
No. It has a 1200mAh rechargeable battery and charges over USB with the included cable. Once charged it runs cordless.
How does the timer work?
Set it between 2 and 8 hours and it shuts down at the end. Since there's no low water cut-off, the timer is what you should rely on.
What kind of oils can I use?
Water-soluble essential oils or oils made for ultrasonic diffusers, a few drops at a time. Thick or greasy oils leave residue on the ultrasonic plate.
What water should I use?
Clean tap water. In hard water areas, filtered or distilled water reduces the white mineral dust that can settle on nearby surfaces.
Is this an air purifier?
No. It adds scent and moisture to the air. It has no filter and does not remove dust, allergens or pollutants.
